Mold and mildew is more than a clean issue. It's a health
issue. Plus, it's just plain icky. Mildew is a type of fungus that
can be found growing where moisture and temperature levels
are high, like bathrooms. Mildew can be black, white or even
red in color.
Mildew often clings to walls and ceilings, growing on shower doors and curtains and spreading between grout and
tile. It also grows under sinks, around window frames and sills and where tub and shower meet the floor. As it grows, mildew leaves behind a sour-like odor that's not too pleasant, if you ask us.
Here are some ways to help prevent mildew from
rearing its ugly head:
• Take a shorter, cooler shower and keep a window or door cracked open if possible. |
